COMMUNION
We practice an open communion with the belief the invitation to receive communion is an invitation to Christ’s table, and that it is not the province of human beings to interfere between an individual and Christ.
Crosville First Methodist Church is delighted to welcome Rev. Dr. Louis Davis as our Senior Pastor. Rev. Dr. Davis, his wife, Mari, and their daughters Abigail, Anna, Aliza, Adalyn, Alivia, Amelia, Ansley, and Aspen joined us on Sunday, March 10, 2024. On their first Sunday we began the day with a church breakfast, followed by a joyous, combined worship at 11 a.m. We give thanks for the entire Davis family and look forward to years of ministry with them. We have returned to our regular worship schedule with the traditional service in the new sanctuary at 8:30 a.m., followed by Sunday School classes from 9:45 - 10:45, and then our 11 a.m. worship service with contemporary worship.
Our Lord demonstrated his love and compassion for all by “dining with sinners,” by consorting with “tax collectors,” and by purposely touching lepers. We affirm that “all have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God.” Our charge is not to judge others, but to love others and to share the good news of salvation through Jesus Christ. We therefore welcome in fellowship and communion all persons who sincerely seek redemption from their sins and reconciliation with God.
We practice an open communion with the belief the invitation to receive communion is an invitation to Christ’s table, and that it is not the province of human beings to interfere between an individual and Christ.
As followers of Christ in the Methodist tradition, we teach that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, died for all of humanity and that salvation is achievable for all.
Sunday Worship:
Traditional service is in the large sanctuary at 8:30 a.m. Sunday School for all ages takes place at 10 a.m., and the Contemporary service follows in the original sanctuary at 11 a.m.
Everyone is encouraged to find their place within our family of faith. Whether leading in worship as part of the choir, volunteering with our youth, helping with Vacation Bible School, or one of our many mission projects, we can help you plug in quickly, meet people on their faith journey, and help others do the same.
There are Sunday School classes for all ages, Wednesday night activities and classes for all, open prayer time during mid-week, and currently, an Advent book study taking place. Call the Church Office at 931-484-3537 for more information.
